What will laser therapy treat? Our Class IV Laser therapy will treat a range of different conditions to accelerate the repair of soft tissue injuries and reduce pain and inflammation. They include herniated discs, sciatica, joint pain, spinal arthritis, disc degeneration and carpal tunnel syndrome. At our clinic, we use Class IV laser therapy on its own, or in combination with other treatments that may include regenerative medicine, chiropractic care and spinal decompression.
Laser Therapy For Pain
Laser therapy works for pain relief by addressing the underlying cause to promote healing in your body. It’s a common practice for pain medication to be prescribed for chronic pain, but that only masks the symptoms and doesn’t do anything to fix the reasons there is pain in the first place. When you visit us, we will take the time to assess your situation and then formulate a customized treatment plan that may include laser therapy to get to the root cause of your pain.
The result is a non-surgical treatment that works for your unique situation to relieve your pain and help you regain your quality of life. There’s no reason you can’t play with your children or grandchildren, head to the gym to work out, take long walks or do work around the house when a natural solution is available.
Laser Treatment
At our clinic, we use a Class IV laser as part of our laser therapy treatment. The Class IV therapeutic laser includes all those with power more than 0.5 watts, and they help to accelerate the repair of injured tissue and reduces both pain and inflammation.
This type of laser works well for treating issues that haven’t had success with other types of treatment. Often, this treatment is combined with other treatments that include chiropractic adjustments, specialized exercises or spinal decompression.
During low level laser therapy, the laser is placed over the injured area where it penetrates the soft tissue to facilitate healing. The photons in Class IV laser therapy are able to penetrate deeper into the tissue and are absorbed by water, hemoglobin and melanin. There is no pain involved and no visible marks or scars are left after the treatment.
Some of the benefits of having laser therapy performed at our clinic include:
- Reduced acute and chronic pain
- Increased mobility in damaged joints
- Easier to reach and stretch
- Easier to bend and crouch down
- Return to normal, everyday activities
